Providence Cat Show, March 2009

Mar 08 2010

We took Pumpkin and Maybelline to the TICA cat show in Providence this past weekend. Pumpkin is going to be a big boy — he looked like the large, economy-sized Maine Coon compared to the other 5-month olds.

Maybelline, of course was her usual charming self. Too bad you can’t get points for being cuddly!

After a round with a judge, it’s time for a little reward. Yes, I’m spoon-feeding her turkey baby food. These cats aren’t spoiled at all.

Kitten still available, will guard your wine

Feb 27 2010

We still have a girl from Gevalia’s first litter available for adoption. She is an experienced wine rack guard, and will keep your beverages safe from intruders. Until someone puts out some food. Or dangles something shiny. But otherwise, she’s a totally reliable wine rack guard.

The pitter patter of little paws

Feb 25 2010

There’s this special time during kittenhood when they have started eating solid food and they have the energy to jump out of the nest, follow you around the room, and clamber up onto the bed. You’ve entered the Maximum Cuteness Zone.

Hre’s Got Milk’s first litter. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

I’m too cute

Jan 22 2010

Hello, my name is Donut. I’m a sweet, payful girl and I’m available for adoption. That doesn’t mean I’m easy, though.

Six more kittens!

Jan 14 2010

Got Milk gave birth to six beautiful kittens last night. She finally stepped away from the nest for a minute and we were able to get this picture before she rushed back to protect them. Lots of black and white here… maybe we’ll name them after penguins. One thing for sure, they’re a bunch of little sqeakers! All six kittens are available for adoption.

Fathers and Sons

Dec 30 2009

Hey, how did the kid get the top bunk? Pumpkin is growing really fast. At this rate he may turn out even bigger than his dad, Fargo, who is a solid hunk of cat as it is.

Meanwhile, Noreaster and his dad, Flash, do some male bonding whilewatchin TV.

Peas in a pod

Dec 05 2009

These two are inseparable! It will be a shame to seprate them, but we are keeping the girl on the left (Dunkini) as part of our breeding program. The girl on the right (Donut) is available for adoption!

And then there were two

Nov 29 2009

One of Gevalia’s kittens faded and died a few days after being born. We’ve avoiding posting the news until now because, well, what do you say? It’s a normal thing and it happens but it’s still sad. Like most mother cats, Gevalia knew something was up before we did and began rejecting the kitten and not letting her feed. We tried keeping her going with forumula but it was no help.

Meanwhile, the two remaining girls are very, very cute. They’re just starting on some solid food and are almost able to climb out of the nest… which will make Gevalia absolutely crazy when they succeed!

“I find the reclining spinal twist position very relaxing!” He says. ”Plus, I get to air out my… Oh, never mind, don’t have those any more.”
