And then there were… nine!

Yaddle gave birth to nine kittens on June 4th, 2026. All of them are doing very well and they’re growing fast.

This is Yaddle’s first litter, so we were very surprised that she had such a large litter. Our best guess from looking at the X-ray we had done a week before she gave birth was seven or eight. She had given birth to the eighth and we were about to leave and let her rest with her babies when the last one popped out!

Mycroft, the father, was bragging about his “accomplishment” until he started doing the kitten support payment calculations in his head (okay, he’s not that good at math; he had to count on his paws). Now he’s disavowing paternity, but we know better.

We’ve been assisting Yaddle by supplementing her nursing by feeding the kittens formula a few times a day. Nine kittens outnumber six nipples, so it helps keep them growing. We’re definitely looking forward to when they start on wet food a few weeks from now!

All of these kittens are available. If you are interested in filling out an application for a kitten, please email atlastcats@gmail.com and tell us a bit about yourself, your family, and your pets (past or present). Our applications have a lot of questions so we try to do a bit of screening to make sure we’re a good fit before we put you through all of that work. (And us, too. They take a long time to review!)
