Sweet Pea gave birth to six lovely kittens on August 14th, 2026. Mycroft, the father, is denying responsibility. “Not a brown tabby in the bunch!” he said, failing to understand the finer points of feline genetics.
These kids matured very quickly, and went straight from the medium-sized nest to wandering in their room freely due to their surprisingly advanced climbing abilities. We’d find kittens wandering around outside the nest to the point where it became superfluous. Luckily, they mastered the litter box in near record time.
They are adjusting to being with the other cats in the cattery for the past few days, so there’s a little drama going on. They are also very interested people. Some have already found our laps and fallen asleep purring, while others follow we around and try to climb my legs when I scoop the litter boxes. (Tiny claws, ow!)
We named them after 1960’s Dark Shadows characters because it’s been our low-key television comfort food lately. It also happens to be spooky season, so it kind of works, anyway.
One of these kittens has been reserved (tbd).
