As seen in New Hampshire Magazine…

We’re really proud to be featured in New Hampshire Magazine’s article on Championship pets!  Much credit goes to photographer Barry Hayes, whose picture of Rigel caught their eye and led to the interview.  And credit to Rigel, of course, for being so photogenic.

I am the definition of "suave."

Retired adults available!

We have two lovely cats who have retired from breeding and are ready to go to new homes so they can get the dedicated attention they so richly deserve.

Update: Pumpkin and Nutmeg are now in their new homes!

If you are interested in adopting an adult, please fill out a placement application.

NutmegCalabash Nutmeg of Atlastcats
a.k.a., Meggy, Meggers, Meggles, Meggy Megs, Megalicious, Meg-o-my-dreams, Meg, Mega
Birth date: 11/14/2007

Nutmeg is a sweet girl and doesn’t miss her reproductive organs at all. While we had a little mole removed from the top of her head during surgery, they were unable to remove her appetite. As such we think she will be best off in a home where her diet can be more controlled and she can get back her trim, girlish figure.

Pumpkin CH Atlastcats Pumpkin
a.k.a., Lumpkin, Pumpkinhead, Pump-a-lump
Birth date: 9/19/2009

Pumpkin was recently neutered and is coping very well, apart from a vague sense that something is missing. Lack of equipment not withstanding, he continues to satisfy the girls who are in heat, even if nothing will come of it (so to speak). Some habits are hard to break. He is friendly but takes some time to warm up to people and cats he doesn’t know. Because of this we suggest that his best new home will be one where he is the only cat.

If kittens could talk…

…is this what they’d say?

All kittens in this litter have been reserved.

Finito (boy)

Finito (boy)
“Now that you mention it, my half-black, half-pink nose does remind me of the
classic Star Trek episode, Let That Be Your Last Battlefield.”

Omega (girl)

Omega (girl)
“I… am surrounded by boys.”

Finis (boy)

Finis (boy)
“You look very chewable. Can I chew on you?”

Finale (boy)

Finale (boy)
“I’m too sexy for this chair.”

A slight misunderstanding

NUTMEG: Wow, that was the worst spa day ever!
ME: Not spa day. SPAY day.
NUTMEG: Oh… Wait, what?

Ve vant to drink your milk

Maybelline was meowing her head off this morning while the kittens fed.  Roughly translated she was saying, “Help! I’m being attacked by little milk vampires and they are draining my precious bodily fluids!”

Maybelline has a flair for the dramatic.

Herding kittens

Here are Maybelline’s kittens, eyes open and looking like the little milk balloons they are.  It took a few pictures to get all of their faces because, hey, try getting kittens to look in the same direction at the same time.  It should be an Olympic event. Kitten herding!

At Last…. literally

Maybelline gave birth to four lovely kittens on Sunday afternoon.  Just like their mother they are noisy little things, squeaking when she isn’t in the nest or making loud slurpy nursing noises when she is.

This is a final litter for Maybelline and Noreaster before they retire from active duty, so we will be sure to have some fun temporary names for the kittens around that theme.  The wheels in our brains are turning! Finale, Omega, Finito… we’re thinking.

All kittens in this litter have been reserved!

Look at that face!

Look at that face!

As predicted there was a 5th kitten. Unfortunately it was underweight and stillborn. Even though we know that it is normal for this to happen on occasion it still makes us sad.

We were correct, on average!

Marie predicted that Maybelline has four kittens in her.  I predicted six.  The X-Ray shows five. We’ll know for sure when they pop out later this week!

Just get these things out of me. I’m tired of you making jokes about how wide I am.

This is the last litter for Maybelline and Noreaster before they move on to a happy retirement.

The next litter and updates…

Maybelline may be pregnant. If so, we expect her litter to pop out mid-December.

Also, we’re using this quiet time between litters do some website software updates.  This may make the site look strange (or completely break it, in which case you aren’t reading this).  We’ll get things back to normal as soon as we can.

She’s the one (who’s (not) available)

UPDATE:  AFK has left for her new home!

Yes, we have on kitten available… AFK (that’s what we call her).  She’ll be ready to go to her home in the next week or so.  If you’re interested, please fill out our placement application and we’ll get back to you.

In answer to your questions:

  1. Yes, she has legs, that’s just how she sits sometimes.
  2. Yes, she’ll grow into those ears.  They all go through that “all ears” phase!
  3. No, there’s nothing wrong with her. Why no one has yet snatched up a kitten as cute as her yet is a mystery to us.
